PDF pattern bought - what next

Image
Hi Everyone,
I am just dropping in to discuss .pdf patterns! I buy them all the time from clothes, bags, to quilts! Big ones, small ones to little itty bitty ones! I love them all and have them all backed up to the cloud! If you don’t know what a cloud is your hard drive on your computer or tablet!
1.  Depending on where you buy it from you will get the opportunity to download it as soon as you pay! Others sites might send you as email to download!  Don’t wait til later to download it.  Do it as soon as you can! Not going to use it right away, that’s ok, but download it to your storage! I say this because I use all Apple products and I download everything to iBooks!
2. Print it off for some light reading! You might find that cute bag is not as easy as you thought or you need to order interfacing, snaps, buckles, or more fabric! But read it!
3. Look at and cut out the pattern pieces and make sure they are all there! What do I mean? Well, you might find the pattern designer gave you a templ…

My Top Nine on Instagram
Our family has had a rough year and

Lilly was so excited to get a new baby doll just like the one she lost!

She carries it everywhere now!

Family bonding has been good for both girls and their mother!
I am praying 2019  will be easier on all of us.
The Go Fund Me Page for  Our daughter and grandchildren is still open. We are praying everything will work out for a  small house a few miles down the road. Thank all you for being generous and loving! So many have already pitched in to help! https://www.gofundme.com/fire-victims-ashley-and-babies
But they will need new or used everything!  No amount is to small! They need your continued Prayers! Thank you and Happy 2019! Lisa

This one was for the #woppetbucketswap

Swapped this one for Luke Hayes’ birthday!  I got some great ornaments in return!

The first one was for the #sugarplumswap!  I really recommend the pattern! Simple, versatile, and useful!

The (2) stockings where fun! I’d like to make a few more if I get the time!

DIY Infinity Scarf

The  Fat Quarter Shop Project Remix

A scarf in the Summer! Yes! It is super soft, lightweight, and brings color to your day!

Tutorial by Crystal of Hello Creative Family  30 Minute Infinity Scarf

I am doing a one month challenge of only using Sewtites  (No pins or clips) and they worked perfect sewing the end together!

The pattern is great for beginners and does not take very long to complete! It only took me 30 minutes to complete.

The Fabric Pick a fabric you think is gorgeous,  that you don’t want to cut all up and sew back together.   It is perfect and stands out all on its own! I bought this fabric over 2 years ago second hand.   I knew it was vintage and prewashed.   It is a vintage lawn that we figured out.   Who made it nothing positive. Looks like, feels like, but couldn’t find it in a database of Liberty. It is 2 beautiful yards of Vintage Lawn and so soft!

Share with #DIYinfinityscarfThis project is easy to make, perfect as a gift or for yourself.  Be sure to share your projects using #diyinfini…

Meet Friends

Image
The point of social media is to meet new friends!  But how often do we actually go out and meet someone  we talk to daily on social media.

This is my wonderful friend Leona!  I talked to her on Flickr, her blog, and Instagram for about 5 maybe 6 years.  I can honestly say it was so different to meet her in person.  It has changed that friendship into something greater.
I am so happy we went a couple of hours out of our way on vacation to met her and her son.  Best trip just for a conversation in real life and a few hugs. It will last me until next time.  When I will make a point to add her to our trip!
I also caught up with a quilt shop owner and friend Karen! My sister in law took me to her shop 2 years ago while we where visiting her.  We kept up a friendship on Instagram.

Karen owns Fabric Smart in Gulfport, Florida! Her shop is a Modern Quilters Dream! She has all the latest and greatest! She also has on hand everything to make clothes, bags, and all kinds of sewing projects.  Classes f…

Book Review Stitch Camp

Book Review

Stitch Camp , by Nicole Blum and Catherine Newman, I found it at the public library the other day and liked that it had a variety of projects to do.  So I checked it out!  It is a delightful book and great projects for young and old.  It has great photography and very colorful.  The project instructions are well written and are targeted at things everyone might like.  My daughter is 36 weeks pregnant and on total bed rest so this is just what she needed to find something to do.

After digging around looking for where I put the felt I had stashed away.  She enjoyed choosing colors, zippers, and digging through my button collection.  It kept her busy for an afternoon and taught her something!

Nomatter what your Monster looks like it is fun to just create something!  Take your mind off your problems for a little while. Other projects I personally like are the key chains, and the bracelets!  I would recommend this book for anyone looking into something crafty to do.  Most everythi…
