Rainbow Scrap Challenge

I am so glad for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge it makes it easy to decided what color to do and to sit down pick out that color and get it done! Great idea Angela @ So Scrappy ! Thank you for reminding me each month how much I want to make a rainbow. I have wanted a rainbow quilt since I started quilting and was determined this year I would make one! I know I am suppose to use scraps but I have accumulated quite a few mini charms in every color. I made 16 patch blocks for pink and blue. Last month I kept forgetting to link up so today I have both January and February's blocks to share. New bag and pouch

Sometimes you just want to make something for yourself! After putting a new face on my bag! I wanted a pouch to hold my little things (money, checkbook, wallet, pen, Chapstick, and receipts! Then keep my crocheting project in the bottom of the big bag (2 balls of yarn, crochet hook, and the current scarf). The satchel is large enough to stuff my iPad in when needed! Everything, in one place ready to go. Now, I just need to find somewhere to take it! I love all these fabrics together! The green zipper really makes the colors "pop"! All done! I hope it looks like an artists bag! Unique like me! Fabrics: all pulled out of the big scrap bin! What do you think? Thank you for stopping by "In The Boon Docks" Until next time my friends, create and be unique! Lisa Oh, and please if you haven't entered the giveaway for the lovely turtle do so HERE ends 6/20/2013 so enter quick I going to link up! What I learned? I matter too!

Modern Scrappy Bits Swap

This is why I love participating in Flickr Swap Groups . I received a package in the mail the other day from the secret partner who got my name this round. There are thousands of swap groups going on at the Flickr site always needing people to join. Modern Scrappy Bits is in round 2 and I am hoping there will be a round 3! Danielle was responsible for sending me one fat quarter of scraps and a handmade item of her choice and she made me this beautiful mini quilt. So happy with her handmade, she is very talented. Thank you so much Danielle! This is the backing fabric! Sorry, don't know the name of it but it is really pretty! Modern scraps - oh how I love all these little pieces! Danielle sent me a wide range of scraps and definitely more than a fat quarter! Yippee fun! I like this so much because some I may not have ever boughten for myself but once I see them, I love them. On the other side, I might have it on my list of wanting at end of season, when they go on sale, a

Japanese X and + Block.

I completed my first block for the Scrappy So Bee It! I was so nervous and excited! I hope Carla really likes it. Does anyone else get that way when sewing for someone else? Just curious, it would be nice to hear that sewing makes someone else a little crazy! It was a successful pattern to me. I had wanted to sew the block for over a year, and very excited to finally done it: Japanese X and + block. Carla's quilt will be really beautiful, I will be excited to see block placement, and the finished quilt. Until Later, Lisa

Scrap Attack

I bought the fabric for the "Low Volume Swap" from Hawthorne Threads and when I did I purchased a scrap pack! This is what I got!!! I alway love to buy a scrap pack because usually there is such a variety and the prices are always right, 2 yards for less than the cost of one. You cannot beat that! I love those little gnomes, I would never had thought to search it out, but they are so cute! So check it out, and treat yourself to variety! It is so much fun! So have a SCRAP ATTACK! Nope, no one ask me to say anything about Hawthorne Threads I just like there scrap packs! Lisa
