Sponsor News I was saddened to hear that Pink Chalk Fabrics is doing a storewide liquidation of everything but patterns! It is an ending of an era but the beginning of a new chapter in Kathy Mack's life. I know she will do well in whatever she focus' on because she is very smart and creatively talented. Flowering Snowball

While on Instagram one night I found an online shop to buy some Cotton and Steel Stitch Supply Co and it has kits available for making this 15" x 15" "Flowering Snowball" mini quilt for $12. The kit included the paper templates, fabric for the front and binding! Stitch Supply Co. is Ann (owner) dream coming true. One step at a time on an exciting adventure. (She also has some other free mini patterns available for download)! Now, if I can try a new technique for that cost I am all into it! This wonderful hobby as we know it can get quite expensive for a project and then we find that we cannot do it properly and quit. Into the UFO pile, got any of those my friends! Sewing curves was not to bad and I loved the results! It went from a pile of beautiful Cotton + Steel to my fantastic 15" x 15" Flowering Snowball Mini Quilt I am not afraid of curves anymore! This kit makes it easy to learn! The longest thing has been hand quilting! But I just don

Wanna Win some Aurifil Thread

The Aurifil Thread Giveaway ends on August 26, 2014 enter HERE My work in progress or WIP for this Wednesday (I know today is Tuesday) is hand quilting this mini quilt! I am hand quilting the Flowering Snowball Mini with Aurifil 12 wt. Thread using #2021 Natural White! As you look at the colors in this quilt you can see I could have used a variety of colors if I wanted the quilting to be the main focus but I didn't in this case. By using the white you see the beautiful sheen off the white but it blends with the white fabric. Aurifil 12 wt. threads are an excellent way of adding decorative stitches to projects and hand quilting. I love the look of how it makes the quilting pattern stand out without taking away from the overall appearance of the quilt. Thank you for stopping by to look around! Create and be unique!
