Flowering Snowball

While on Instagram one night I found an online shop to buy some Cotton and Steel Stitch Supply Co and it has kits available for making this 15" x 15" "Flowering Snowball" mini quilt for $12. The kit included the paper templates, fabric for the front and binding! Stitch Supply Co. is Ann (owner) dream coming true. One step at a time on an exciting adventure. (She also has some other free mini patterns available for download)! Now, if I can try a new technique for that cost I am all into it! This wonderful hobby as we know it can get quite expensive for a project and then we find that we cannot do it properly and quit. Into the UFO pile, got any of those my friends! Sewing curves was not to bad and I loved the results! It went from a pile of beautiful Cotton + Steel to my fantastic 15" x 15" Flowering Snowball Mini Quilt I am not afraid of curves anymore! This kit makes it easy to learn! The longest thing has been hand quilting! But I just don

HeatnBond Giveaway

Update: I don't know what I was thinking when I wrote the HeatnBond Giveaway , no end date! The Therm-o-Web giveaway will end December 8, 2013 at midnight! A Bucket to the rescue! Let's get sewing! Imagine what you want and make it! You can do it! We had a full house for Thanksgiving and Zoey as you can see got some blocks for Christmas. My cousin and his daughter have other obligations at Christmas so we celebrate early each year. The big plus is deer season coincides with Thanksgiving and he gets a little me time and fills their freezer at the same time. It has worked out fine until I was stepping on blocks at 2 a.m. I knew I needed a quick solution before I stumbled and fell. After that first step, I knew Zoey needed a container, bag, or a bucket for those darn blocks. Something she could put them in and dump them out. Children at her age love repetition! This is also a great way to teach young children to pick up after themselves. I decided on a simple bucket b

Free Cross Stitch anyone?

I have been cleaning our garage, what a mess, but I am finding lots of goodwill stuff. In the process I found some cross stitch things that I paid to much for to just dump in the box. If you are interested just be the first one to say "Me Please" and email me your address. This is a United States only giveaway. Sorry friends of other nations just can't do it this time. I will pay postage within the US. I figure someone out there can give this stuff a good home. Happy Sunday all. I hope you have a good week. Lisa
