Have never sewn a zpper! Too scary!

For all of you who like me have past up the fun of pouches because of "Zipper Phobia" I really like the "Dresden Pouch" and hope she enjoys it! Just made this pouch for my Mother-in-law (MIL) with an extra long strap!

I learned how to make a pouch and put a zipper in using these two resources Craft Buds "Easy Lined Zipper Pouch" and take the FREE Craftsy course right here called Kristin Link's Bag-Making Basics - Reversible Tote & Zipper Pouch

Dare to Dresden Blog Hop

Welcome to "In The Boon Docks", I am Lisa and I am forever creating something! You never know what you might find when you stop in here. I have lived off-line since January 10th due to the living in KY with my daughter and her fiancé waiting for the arrival of my granddaughter. I then stayed to help my daughter for the last week. I arrived home today around 6 pm. I had my sewing machine and a few thing but I didn't have my dresden ruler so my first attempt at making my own I went a little wrong. So I chopped off the triangle point and started again.

These cutting mats (3 in a pack) are cheap and great for making templates! You might want to pick up a pack next time you go to Walmart! See this is how they look when you …

Dots on Dots Blog Hop and Giveaway

I kind of broke the size rule! I hope Madame Samm doesn't ban me from her blog hops because I really love blogging in them and hopping to all the other bloggers sites. So far this hop has had so many gorgeous projects I would love to make.

Dresden Plate Block

My block is 24" x 24", the fabrics I used to make this Dresden Plate are Ombre Dots by Riley Blake and Kona Cotton Solid Coal by Robert Kaufman. I followed the directions in the EZ Make A Dresden Plate Quilt Ruler by Darlene Zimmerman. The directions are very easy to read and simple to do! So excited I completed it.
