Wonky Star Mini Quilt

Image
Starry Night Mini Quilt 19" x 19" Fabrics: Blueberry Park, Lula Magnolia, Threads: Aurifil 50 wt. Reduction of a Foundation Pieced Pattern! To make this mini quilt I reduced Jeli Quilts pattern "Wonky Star Quilt Top" pattern by 50%. Then adding the 1/4 seam allowance back to each piece. The Jeli Quilts pattern is available for free from Craftsy. Wonky star quilt top - Free pattern by Jeliquilts - Craftsy   Sew on a folded square piece of fabric on the top two corners will make it easy to hang with a dowl rod! Do this before sewing on your binding at 1/8"! Then sew on your binding and it re-enforces it for hangingn the wall! Make sure whenever you shrink a FPP pattern that you add the 1/4" back on to the pieces and print them off again. This was made for the Instagram swap #starblockquiltswap! My favorite Aurifil 50 wt. thread and bobbini! They work great together! Until next time! Lisa   Create and be unique - Lisa

I love being back with so many familiar blogs. Many of us have done hops for years together! I am enjoying the new blogs too! So much talent in this hop! I appreciate what you have taken on for everyone's enjoyment! Favorite Costume My Mommy (Joyce) and Daughter Ashley In 1990, my Mom came for Halloween. I was pregnant and had nothing for my daughter to wear for Halloween. I had never seen my mother sew anything! In a day, she dyed a white sheet and a long sleeve shirt orange. She went shopping for ribbon, elastic, green and black felt. Made a pattern out of newspaper for the pumpkin face, green around the neck, and a hat. Sewed it into this awesome pumpkin costume for my oldest dau

After watching it I thought "Wow" what a great idea Lisa Hirsch has come up with! But I don't have time right now for a full size quilt I have two mini quilt due in the next week. "Wow" I really love that Star in the middle I have to shrink it! So I have. (Hopefully not to many Wows but it did excite me into motion)!
