Image
Hello, I am Lisa and welcome to In The Boon Docks! First, I'd like to thank Lucy at Charm About You: space ~ le challenge ~ Levi's 2.0 and Nat at Made in Home: Vintage Inspired pincushion | Tutorial the creators of the Le Challenge! It is open to all with the possibility of prizes! A monthly linky party with a theme! What do you think of when you see the word SPACE? This months challenge is Space but when I think of space I think outer space (fabric above is Marty goes to Mars)! I going to make something for myself out of my Marty fabric, it is just so cute. Secondly, I think of the space I need to get clean or decorated for the holidays. In reality I have been trying to organize my space for awhile. Like trying to keep all my Aurifil thread in one space! (It seems to wander around from my sewing machine or the table by my livingroom chair). My fabric stash takes up a lot of space! Do you know I have given away 6 moving boxes of fabric over the last year! Yo…

The requirements for this blog hop was to be Christmas related and have a heart on the project. Thank you Marian you have done a great job on all the arrangements and I am so happy to participate. The blog hop will run from November 12 - November 19, 2015, each day will have a $25 Gift Certificate provided by the Fat Quarter Shop at Seams To Be Sew
I decided I would make a quilt for my cousin and his wife as my project. The two lines of hearts show how their love will endure the test of time. Every year my cousin and his family come for the week of Thanksgiving including last year when my husband had a heart attack the Saturday after. This quilt is giving thanks for all the love and help Jessie (my cousin) gave us in the days and weeks that followed. As you can see below my husband is very lucky…

ALYOF November 2015 Goal

A Lovely Year Of Finishes-October Goal Welcome Everyone!Well once again I feel like the year is zipping by and leaving me behind in a big way! Christmas is on it's way and of course I'm not ready. I have been buying for months and have it all crammed in my Fabric Stash Closet, no one opens that door! So it is safe from prying eyes! Do you hide gifts among your stash? My goal for October 2015 is to make a quilt out of Nomad, by Urbin Chiks, for Moda and a light blue Kona Solid. I really love the design patterns with the feathers and this print with a fox. The quilt will be for my cousin and his wife for Christmas! The only thing is we have Christmas each year with their family at Thanksgiving. So I better get busy to have it ready in time. My cousin is like my little brother and I feel so blessed to have him in my life. He helped me so much last year when my husband was sick. He always makes me feel so good about what I am making because he wants the them not a store bo…
