Blueberry Park fabric just cheers up a room! I finished quilting the blocks and turned turned them into pillows. Covered up my old and worn couch pillows. In The Boon Docks: Sewing and Family is where I wrote about making these blocks and how I did it. I started working on this Alison Glass embroidery pattern while my daughter was in the hospital! I drew it out using the hold it up to the window method (light box) with the fabric over the pattern, using my washable pen. So, when I am all done was the ink away with a washcloth! Only problem it gets kinda wrinkly. If I iron it the steam it my take away the drawing. My Floss StoryKnowing I would not have a sewing machine available for 2 weeks I packed projects I could work on in the hospital! I packed this pattern and a variety of Aurifil Thread weights. I was going to do this project with all Aurifil Floss, but somehow the floss bag got left at home. Instead, I only had 12 wt., 50 wt., and 80 wt., so I used what I had! I am very…

Big BlocksIn The Boon Docks: Bella Skill Builder Month 5 , I was making half square triangles using 3" Half Square Triangle Paper Triangles on a Roll #H300 | Fat Quarter Shop and then came the Sew Sampler® Subscription Quilting Box for May with Blueberry Park by Karen Lewis for Robert Kaufman in it! What beautiful fabrics! There are so many blocks you can make with these triangle papers, I and when I saw this one on the internet, I had a idea! New Summer Couch pillows. The blocks are done but the pillows will have to wait for now.Everything here sewn with Aurifil 50 wt. thread! I find these 3" triangles super easy to use and make perfect (8) half square triangles at once and invested in multiple sizes! Note: a 3" half square triangle is 2 1/2" when sewn!I love getting Sew Sampler each month! You definitely get a great bang for your buck!Little Lilly and family are all doing great! Coming home has really made me feel the distance. This is one of my favorite pict…

Starry Night Mini Quilt
19" x 19"Fabrics: Blueberry Park, Lula Magnolia, Threads: Aurifil 50 wt.Reduction of a Foundation Pieced Pattern! To make this mini quilt I reduced Jeli Quilts pattern "Wonky Star Quilt Top" pattern by 50%. Then adding the 1/4 seam allowance back to each piece. The Jeli Quilts pattern is available for free from Craftsy. Wonky star quilt top - Free pattern by Jeliquilts - Craftsy
Sew on a folded square piece of fabric on the top two corners will make it easy to hang with a dowl rod! Do this before sewing on your binding at 1/8"! Then sew on your binding and it re-enforces it for hangingn the wall!Make sure whenever you shrink a FPP pattern that you add the 1/4" back on to the pieces and print them off again.
This was made for the Instagram swap #starblockquiltswap! My favorite Aurifil 50 wt. thread and bobbini! They work great together!Until next time! LisaCreate and be unique - Lisa
