I used a combination of Lori’s fabric with Riley Blake Designs! Granny Chic Bee Backgrounds Modern Minis


I lost my Alphabitties from  Fat Quarter Shop
and spent a good amount of time using stickers I wrote out! It was no fun!



I ordered some as soon as I realized I had misplaced my set! They are a product every quilter should own.

Getting Caught Up June

Welcome to Getting Caught Up Hello, I am Lisa and if you haven’t been here before welcome! I hope you decide to follow along on my sewing and quilting adventures! This maybe old news to some of you and I love you for it! Thank you for sticking with me throughout the years!
I post on Instagram  Intheboondocksdaily  But my blogging hasn’t  covered a lot of the items  I have made!
I am working on baby quilts this week for new babies!



I am trying like other bloggers  to get back in the habit of  blogging at least once a week!  Now on to getting caught up!

Fabrics: Patriotic ones I had in my stash  by Patric Loose,  I also used his Stars line  for the back and Binding Kona Cottons- Dark Blue, Aqua & Snow White Thread: Aurifil 50 Wt It is a patchwork pattern and beginner friendly!

The Fat Quarter Shop invited me to join their new Vintage Christmas Sew Along, which is based around the new Christmas book by  Lori Holt. I couldn't resist! I love all her patterns and every book Lori has written you can find then at the  Fat Quarter Shop (click and see her other books)! Don’t forget to order your Alphabitties when you order your book.

Vintage Christmas  is a great book for beginners to experts alike who love to sew!  So many great blocks to sew year after year! The blocks can be used for quilts and gifts (Mug Rugs, Bags, Tablerunners, and Pillows to name a few)!

Week 7 Block - Toy Train


The fabric is Cozy Christmas by Lori Holt for Riley Blake Designs. It was released a couple of years ago but you can still find it at the Fat Quarter Shop. The thing I love about Christmas fabric is it never goes out of style.

Fat Quarter Shop Patchwork Quilt Auctions

The Fat Quarter Shop created the Patchwork Quilt pattern  to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.  They exceeded the $10,000 goal and raised over $12,000! Which means Fat Quarter Shop and Moda Fabrics will each be matching the maximum $10,000, for a total of $20,000 on top of all the $5 donations from the pattern.  That is why I love these companies!Now they have TWO gorgeous Patchwork Quilts for up for auction! The beautiful quilt Kimberly Jolly made for the quilt along and Pat Sloan donated her gorgeous Patchwork quilt, made from her Sunday Drive collection!Fat Quarter Shop’s quilt is the main quilt featured in the Patchwork Quilt Along.  It is made with Bonnie & Camille Basics from Moda Fabrics, and the back features a lovely 25″ block!  It was quilted gratis by MyLongArm.com in a darling chicken wire design.

Pat’s quilt is made with a mix of her Sunday Drive prints and batiks and was quilted gratis by Cindy and Dennis Dickinson with variegated thread in a dragonfly desig…
